AC Shadows Introduces Surprising Attack on Titan Event for Thanksgiving
In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the official statement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine sect.
The adventure concentrates on "bizarre trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Extra Content
Players who finish the mission will receive an exclusive katana in addition to numerous objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
- Titan-inspired costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special implements
- Survey Corps steed
Newest Free Story Addition
This release also brings the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Mystery."
